Travel Guide: 30A

Posted by Molly Stone on

Looking for white sandy beaches, clear blue water and a great mix of activities for adults and kids? The beaches of 30A deliver on this and if you're in the Southeast -like the Black Pearl team- it's a quick road trip away!

Where to Stay:

When traveling with family, renting a house or condo is absolutely worth it! You get much needed space as well as the option to have a few meals at home instead of always having to eat out and you have access to laundry so you don't have to pack as much and can keep up with the kids inevitable messes. Find one with a pool so you have the option for older kids to play while younger ones nap or just an easy entertaining option while you prepare dinner. You can find options on Airbnb.com or HomeAway.com

We recommend Rosemary Beach to be close to the action of Seaside and Panama City while still enjoying relative quiet and great deals.

Where to Play:

Seaside:

Bike Rental  The Seaside community is absolutely picturesque and flat with wide sidewalks and bike paths to make getting around on 2 wheels a great option. Seaside Transit Authority is conveniently in town square with bikes available for the whole family including trailers for littles who don't bike on their own. The city has plenty of bike parking and you're just a few minutes ride away from Grayton Beach State Park (see below). We recommend packing a backpack with towels, sunscreen and water bottles/snacks.

Food Trucks Vintage Airstreams with kid friendly options make the Food Trucks on 30A a great option for a casual lunch or dinner.

Amphitheater  This grassy spot in the center of Seaside is a great place to relax and hosts a variety of family friendly activities including live music.

Grayton Beach:

Bike over from Seaside and enjoy the trails where you'll see local wildlife, the dunes and beautiful Western Lake. You can also enjoy the beach and a picnic making this a great day trip.
